We at the Neighborhood Farm Initiative don’t even like cars. We’d almost always rather be walking or biking. We’d definitely rather be dancing.
Here’s the thing: in order to make our fledgling farm work, we need a truck: to haul compost, bring produce to market, and lug plants all over town. We’re raising money to buy one, and to do it, we’re going to do something we’re into: dance.
Join us for NFI’s Barn Dance Fundraiser

We’re looking for volunteers to help out with the event: greeting people, cleaning up, and making the event go smoothly.
NFI is also seeking prizes for our silent auction, especially creative ones – a guitar lesson, a bike tuneup, a pan of baked goods, some jewelry you made, a painting – whatever you’re good at!
Email neighborhoodfarm@gmail.com to volunteer.

[...] Soon the collards, plus kale, lettuce, Swiss chard and more, will be ready for eating. Right now, we’re raising money to buy the truck that will take our vegetables to farmer’s markets, and hoping you’ll help out by coming out to our Barn Dance Fundraiser next Saturday at St. Stephens Church. More details here. [...]
