Fort Stevens Community Garden (NPS – ROCR)
Fort Stevens Community Garden is another of the 9 gardens under jurisdiction of the National Park Service – Rock Creek Park. There are 50 plots, each 20′x20′, laid out in a nice flat and regular grid system. Gardeners need to use organic methods in their gardens, according to the rules. The NPS occasionally delivers wood chip mulch.
There are currently about 5 people on the waiting list, if you are interested in being on it please contact Ft. Stevens Gardening Association president – Ms. Corinia Prince, 202 829-8457 – she will send you an application. Priority for vacancies will be determined by the order of the arrival of completed applications to Ms. Prince.
