Peabody Community Garden (NPS – ROCR)

Peabody Community Garden is an acre and a half of 84 flat, grid-laid plots each about 25′x25′.  It is located in Ward 4 at 9th and Peabody Streets NW, on a lot owned by National Park Service – Rock Creek Park.

Gardeners are expected to maintain wood-chip paths between the plots.  The entire garden area is tilled each spring, so there is no option to grow perennial crops.  We were told there is a waiting list.

The garden manager is Mr William Vest.  Please visit the garden during the growing season to find out more information.
