Rock Creek Community Garden (NPS – ROCR)

Rock Creek Community Garden is located near the Rock Creek Park Police stables, near the intersection of Northampton St NW and Oregon Ave, NW.  At 3/4 of an acre, it is one of the bigger gardens in DC, featuring 120 garden plots each 10′x20′.  The garden also has communal hoses, spigots, wheel barrows, picnic tables, wood chips, a message board, and several tool chests for gardener use.  There is also tall deer fencing around most plots.

There is currently a wait list of over 30 names, and people adding now should expect to wait 2-4 years to get a plot assignment.  Please contact Nancy Oswald at nmoswald@yahoo.com for more information.
